THE CONCLUSION, AT LAST! The Clash glimpse their potential future whilst opening for The Who in America’s Sport-A-Toriums. Then they sack Mick Jones, the group’s founder. Hey, Bernie Rhodes happens….
You should make this into a book. You capture your love for the band, but you don't fall for their image issue. For sure, the best thing I have read on The Clash.
Reading how it all went down makes me so mad and thinking of the tons of ways it could have been avoided. Not losing communication, taking breaks instead of non stop touring and releasing albums and firing that Manager. Why was joe such a pushover when it came to bernie?
Joe was the one who insisted they bring Bernie back in 1981. The Clash fired him in 1978. Alongside his buddy Malcolm McLaren, Bernie Rhoades was a classic (mis-)manager.

Thank you, Tosh. It's a possibility.
Great work, Tim.
Thanks, Jeff. 🙂
