In Case You Missed It: The Saints Review, Parts One & Two
Yes—it LITERALLY said “Part One” in the title. This is me pointing again.
The Saints heard you missed Part Two of Tim’s epic review. They are not amused.
I can’t help but notice last Friday’s first of a two-part, comprehensive review of In The Red’s new Saints box set, celebrating their debut LP (I’m) Stranded, has amassed 1.235 views to date. The first 1000 came within the first 12 hours of posting, and I could not be more grateful. Thank you.
The second part, which we previewed at the bottom of Part One *AHEM*, came Monday, May 20th. This is Thursday, the 22nd. At the moment, it has netted 888 views.
*blink* *blink*
Did anyone notice I only covered the first two LPs in the box last week? That it said “Part One” IN THE TITLE? That this is a 4 LP box set, and I ONLY COVERED HALF OF IT?!
I realize lives are busy, and maybe you did not notice Part Two sitting in your inbox, or out there on social media. It somehow did not register. (“Oh, there’s a Part Two?!”)
I also realize attention spans ain’t what they used to be. It’s why I split the original 3000 word review—covering EVERYTHING about that box—was split into two bite-sized, 1,500 word chunks. And why I’m now providing you with links to both installments in one place for you below.
Here’s Part One, in all this bolded, underlined shit right here.
And here’s Part Two’s bolded, underlined shit.
Maybe I’m picking nits, something I hate when others do it to me. Maybe I’m paying too close attention to those metrics I claim to not care a whit about. But dammit! When I set up a two-part Saints review, especially when only half the box set has been covered in Part One? It sure would be nice if every one who enjoyed the first installment followed through to the second one!
Thank you. You may go about the rest of your day now. Once you read Part Two (if you haven’t yet).
