What’s this crazy jive?

I’m Tim “Napalm” Stegall, contributing writer to The Austin Chronicle and Ugly Things and former contributor to Alternative Press. I’ve been writing about punk, garage, and other raw, guitar-based rock ‘n’ roll subgenres since 1985.

I’m also a punk historian, currently working on a book on Austin punk history currently serialized in The Austin Chronicle as I write it.

As Tim Napalm, I lead an old-school punk band called The Hormones. I write the songs, sing ‘em, play guitar, wear eyeliner and tight pants, and jump around a lot.

I’m a sixth generation Texan, by the grace of Jah Rastafari.

What do I get?

For $5/month, you get at least two 2500 word posts per week, original new content, be it a feature article, an annotated playlist, or reviews of records/books/films/live gigs. That’s 20,000 words per month, 240,000 words per year, at $60 annually. You spend more than that on drinks in one night. You will also get new episodes of Radio Napalm, my Boss Radio-style punk podcast.

Come on and join the ride!

It’s cheaper than a magazine subscription. Or a six pack and bag of potato chips.
